Martini and Goddard are two Australian photographers with a passion for shooting landscapes using unusual techniques. All photographs are captured after dark, some by the light of the full moon and others in the darkness of the new moon. Shooting on transparency film with Hasselblad cameras, the exposures vary from ten minutes to three hours.
The photos enable the viewer to see a world not visible with the naked eye. Star trails across the night sky show the movement of the earth during the exposure. The moon’s pale illumination over the long exposures turns night into day and creates beautiful beachscapes with smooth, calm and crystal-clear waters.
